On a recent edition of his “Grilling JR” podcast, Jim Ross discussed the recent production changes to AEW that has given the programming a slick feel. He said,
“I watched Dynamite on Wednesday night and I thought it was a hell of a show. One thing that stood out is how the show looks cleaner and slicker. The production values have noticeably improved, especially in the graphics area. Outstanding.”
JR’s co-host Conrad Thompson brought up Renee Paquette’s commentary in the aisleway, and likened it to a sideline reporter during an NFL broadcast. Ross added,
“I liked it. It was a nice little element to add to the show. Somebody had a really good idea there, I think. It caught my attention, enhanced my focus, and kept me engaged.“
This week’s episode of Dynamite was immediately followed by AEW Rampage. The move gave Rampage its highest viewership since January 2023.
